Every Saturday is Family Art Time! A new family-friendly project is introduced every week. All ages welcome. No registration. Drop In Art Activity.
In this special extended session for teens, we’ll learn to use our smart phones to capture everyday life artistically and produce quality images for use on social media or to print. We’ll explore the technical components of using our phones for photography as well as how to use perspective, light and patterns to enhance our images. We’ll then use Photoshop to apply some basic post-processing effects to at least two of our images that we will then print. No prior photography or Photoshop experience required. Participants must bring a cell phone with camera (iPhone or Android) and charger. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing as we will spend time outdoors, around the museum, taking photos. Snacks will be provided.
Full Court Press, representing the Printmaking Department at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host an Open Portfolio Review session in the Singer Gallery on Saturday October 7, from 1 .pm.-3 p.m. Students from Texas and regional universities will display their original works and discuss various printmaking techniques. This event is a special component of the Full Court Press Printmaking Symposium. Military Mondays will be launching on September 11!
