Notice of Impending Roadwork – Update

Temporary Daily Road Closures for road re-pavement of Schatzell and Lawrence Streets, Corpus Christi scheduled to begin on Monday, October 30, 2023

Roadwork is set to begin from Middle Broadway to Schatzell and Lawrence Streets on Monday, October 30, 2023, until Wednesday, November 7, 2023. Daily road closures will occur Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:30PM, including a weekend day of roadwork happening on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Roads will be fully transversal during nights from 5:30PM-7:00AM and weekends.

The City will mill and overlay the road on Schatzell Street from Broadway Middle to Water Street as well as mill and overlay the road on Lawrence Street from Broadway Middle to Mesquite, and from Chaparral to Shoreline Streets. The roadwork is part of the Street Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure stronger, longer lasting roads in the downtown area.  

Previous notice included a schedule of nearly two months of roadwork, but this readjusted schedule will now take 12 days. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
