EVENT DETAILS:

This special event is specifically designed for those students who are new to SUP (Stand Up Paddleboards) and/or those new to Yoga.
The emphasis of this workshop is getting yogis comfortable on the water and on their floating mats.
The workshop is designed with modifications to make beginners feel comfortable on the boards- even if they have never done SUP or Yoga before!

The workshop will be lead by Stacie Richline:
Stacie Richline is a RYT-200 Yoga instructor trained at Black Swan Yoga in Austin, Texas
Stacie is SUP Yoga certified receiving her training with Limitless SUP in Austin Texas, called “The SUP captial of the world”.
She has taught group fitness and yoga all over and locally at Gold’s Gym, Corpus Christi Athletic Club, Bayside Pilates and The Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi

WHAT TO EXPECT
-On deck discussion about the paddleboards, paddling technique and water safety
-Dynamic warm up on the deck
-Brief paddle to a fixed anchor point where you will clip in your board
-Modifications for beginners and mindful transitions between poses and exercises
-Extra time after class to practice paddling (weather permitting)

WATER DOG’S LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:

You will turn onto Coopers Ally L-Head from Shoreline Drive going towards the marina.
The Corpus Christi Yacht Club will be on your left. Drive straight back to the end of the parking lot on the right.
The entrance to marina slips S, T & U are on the right. Park anywhere available.
Water Dog Floating Deck is at slip T5 in the middle.
The gate to the marina entrance is normally locked.
PLEASE ARRIVE 10 MINUTES BEFORE CLASS as someone from Water Dog will be there to open the gate and escort you to the floating deck

This one day conference focuses on areas pertaining to active shooter training, mental health issues, traumatic brain injuries, first aid awareness, and the importance of continuously updating and enforcing your emergency plans.

Touch-A-Truck provides the unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and just plain cool – all in one place! Children will be allowed to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, and meet the people who help build, protect, and serve our community. Crafts, games, and food trucks will also be part of the day’s activities.  Horns Free Hour is from 10am-12pm!

A weekend of crazy creativity featuring interactive art, live demonstrations, and hands-on art action. ¡Que Bueno! Taco Fest is an annual festival highlighting the taco and creative culture of our city. At its core, ¡Que Bueno! Taco Fest is a food festival focused on tacos plus Mexican art and culture. However, the festival has a greater purpose. ¡Que Bueno! Taco Fest was created to be a signature event for Corpus Christi and The Ritz Theatre. Proceeds from the event go to restore the historic Ritz and fund the Artist Nurturing Program, developed to support local artists encouraging them to stay in Corpus Christi and thrive here. The festival takes place downtown to elevate our downtown and bring more citizens into the heart of our city.

The DMD is hosting the first annual Downtown Living Tour! This self-guided tour will take place on Saturday, September 21st from 12pm to 4pm and will showcase downtown living spaces to give potential residents an idea of options available in Downtown Corpus Christi, the place to live, work and play!

Check-in at The Cosmopolitan Apartments and then take your time viewing the other properties in any order. A complimentary shuttle will be provided as well.

Surftoberfest is upon us! Join us for our 5th annual event on Saturday, October 5th, benefiting the Texas Surf Museum.

Surftoberfest is an outdoor fall festival that features, food, LIVE MUSIC, fun for all ages, and of course, lots and lots of BEER!

Activities will include a Stein Holding Contest, Costume Contests, arts and crafts activities for the kids, and so much more!
