There’s no shortage of festivities in Downtown Corpus Christi this holiday season!  Check out where to be in Downtown Corpus Christi during #merrydaysbythebay!

Peppermint Lane on Chaparral Street from Lomax Street to Taylor Street features pink and white garland wrapped around light poles and trees wrapped with white lights.

Artesian Park, one of the city’s oldest public park, once again features large oak trees wrapped in white lights. New to 2020, the iconic gazebo is also wrapped in white lights and green garland to create the perfect holiday backdrop.

La Retama Park traditionally features white lights around the park trees. This year, an 18-foot tree sponsored by the Port of Corpus Christi was added in the center of the park and features brightly colored bulbs. The DMD and the Port of CC officially lit this tree on Friday, November 6th.

For the third year in a row, the 66-foot H-E-B Christmas Tree will be on display in Water’s Edge Park along the Corpus Christi Bayfront. Watch the Virtual Lighting in the comfort of your home all season long!

Downtown businesses will add to all the holiday décor by decorating their own buildings and storefronts by competing in the Mayor’s Battle of the Bulbs sponsored by NEC Coop Energy. 30 businesses will compete in categories such as Best Use of Lights, Best Big Building, Best Window Display,Best Window Lights, Best Overall – Holiday Champion, and People’s Choice. The public will be able to vote for their favorite display beginning on Wednesday, December 2nd on Downtown Corpus Christi Facebook Page.
